Posted: 2/6/05 at 7:34pmHow popular is it? My friend went up on a sunday and got fifth row center. What time should I show up for cancellation if I want to get good tickets for a sunday matinee? Also, when is the matinee? 3?

Posted: 2/6/05 at 9:41pmGo on ticketmaster.com like two days before the show and then check from then on a couple times a day until the show. That's how I got my third row center tickets.

FYI: they've released some great seats in the last 48 hours for the weekend matinees in March...yesterday I was pulling center orch Rows D, E,and G. I purchased center orch row D tix this afternoon (with broadwaybox.com's discount code) for a Sunday in March. I can't wait. Im taking my mom and neither of us have seen this show before.
So whoever was looking for close seats...they are definitely out there right now....even for Saturday evening full price I pulled a few in center row K.

Posted: 2/17/05 at 4:27pmIt's been my experience with Hairspray and Q both that they release house seats directly after lotto ends.

Posted: 2/17/05 at 6:35pmI remember a steamy hot summer night in '03 during Marissa's last weekend in "Hairspray." I got in the cancellation line at 4pm and at 7.55 they still were holding cancellation seats. When faced with that 'maybe' and knowing there were "Movin Out" tickets available down the street, I chose "Movin' Out."
