Hi
I'm from the UK, and am planning a trip to New York for October 2007. I would love to see Hairspray, but see that they're not booking that far ahead. Does anyone know whether it is likely to extend to October, and if so when tickets will be available?

Posted: 1/7/07 at 5:52pmOh, it'll be there in October (since the movie's coming out this summer, by September/October many people will be wanting to see the stage production), but sorry, I don't know when the next block of tickets are for sale.

While business definitely dropped off a bit this past fall, it was still profitable all but a handful of weeks. The movie version comes out this summer, so, considering there's a good chance all of the ensuing publicity will give the stage show a bump at the box office, I'd certainly expect it to run at least through the end of the year, and probably well beyond that.
Not sure when the block of tickets for fall 2007 will go on sale, but it probably won't be for several months.
