Read it again.
They - Kelli and her friend Peyton (it looks he has his own website design business) - incorporated stuff from the website the fan did, but Kelli and Peyton are fully responsible for her website.
I think she's not that into the website anyway.

What does running the site have to do anything?
Except for the actors who have low-rent webpages on Myspace,
I don't know of many who run their own website.
And, I don't know Kelli at all. I say she doesn't *seem* to care about her website based on the letter that is on her website. She seems to be grudgingly having a website. And that perception is reinforced by the fact that the News page on her website hasn't been updated since the website was launched.
