I got a flyer in the mail today for $149 Orch seats witha discount code!
$149 is the regular price.
Who's the genius who thought that would be a good idea?
That must be a mistaken. This is the actual discount: http://www.broadwaybox.com/shows/visit/
Just checked my mail, it's a stunning flyer, but definitely the $149 thing is definitely odd. Certainly not the discounted price.
Just got the same flyer. Same guy thought up calling the Titanic "Unsinkable"
Sat up there for a straight play & mid mezzanine for Realistic Jones on TDF.
Looks like ticket prices continuing their rise unabated.
1. I was just making fun of whoever proofread the flyer
2. Just remarking I sat upstairs in the theater & where I would sit again if I saw it
3. Self explanatory
Awkward, unfortunate mistake <_<.
^ true, as other musicals in previews are showing discounted prices in the orchestra in the price range $79-$99.
The front mezzanine (A-G) price for The Visit has been discounted from $129 > $99
but Orchestra has no discounts showing premium $199 (center orchestra) and all other orchestra seats are $149 no discounted seats at all in the orchestra.
I just checked the flyer, telechargeoffers and telecharge.
I wonder why!?
I could swear that there was a discount for orchestra seats, but broadway box and theatermania are showing the same discount as the flyer. Wow.
Oh, so it's not a 'mistake' - they are just not discounting the orchestra?
In that case, it's probably because they think it will be easier to sell the orchestra seats at full-price and therefore don't want to discount them (this did happen with FOLLIES. People were quite happy to pay for expensive orchestra seats for basically the entire run, but those Mezz seats just wouldn't move).
^ no orchestra discounts $149 premium $199!

I got the flyer in the mail yesterday and as soon as I saw the $149 for orchestra seats, I tossed it. Didn't anyone proof this before it went out? I wonder how many people did what I did.

I recycled. :)
The Lyceum has the least amount of seats in the orchestra level of any Broadway theatre. While even some other small Broadway theatres have at least 500 orchestra seats, the Lyceum has less than 400 orchestra seats, which really cuts down on gross potential. The orchestra level is where you hope to move whatever full price seats you can sell, so I think given the difficulties of the Lyceum (including that difficult to sell balcony), they hope they can move some full price tickets for the truly limited number of their best seats, while discounting the harder to sell areas of the theatre.
