Hey everyone, my mom is the principle of a small private school, and she has been given tickets to the 'Best of Broadway' concert tomorrow at the Marquis Theatre. All I know about this event is that a good number of Broadway shows perform (mostly with understudies) and that it is used as a way to get group tickets sold. She is no longer able to go, so she has asked me to go as representative for the school. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever gone to this event before, and what the overall experience will probably be like (because I will be one of the only people there that has never seen it before).

I went a couple of years ago (I'm assuming this is the thing they usually do in Feb - wonder why it's now...). Anyway, Andrew Lippa hosted it that year, and casts of about a dozen shows performed a number for us from the show - mostly choruses and understudies, but still - very entertaining afternoon

Horton, I believe the title is 'Best of Broadway', that is what my mother told me. I am excited to see this, as I haven't had the chance to see as many shows as I would have liked to this season. I'm also excited because it means that my alma mater is planning on seeing shows, which they haven't done since I graduated.

I don't believe "Best of Broadway" is a copyrighted phrase, so anyone can use it for any remotely musical theatre-related concert.

Lizzie- That is what I figured. That is why I tried to give a description of the event.
