Did understudies go on tonight?
Do I not grasp the time constraints between a show finishing up in the late afternoon and a cross-country flight?
Did my eyes deceive me and they weren't actually in the audience?
I hate starting threads that aren't conducive to major discussion, but I just have to know.

Posted: 9/20/09 at 10:44pmI also noticed on the God of Carnage website that they actually do not have Sunday performances. I do not know which one is more updated, but either way, they do not perform during the Emmys.

That means the show ended at 4:30. That leaves how small of a time window to get into a great dress, fly to California and get to the Awards ceremony without breaking a sweat?

There was no performance today. They have a performance tomorrow night instead.
NOTE: logistically, if they performed on Broadway at 3pm, it would have been unrealistic to attempt to make a cross-country trek to attend a time-sensitive awards show.

I had a total brain flop and thought the Emmys were in NYC. But they are in LA. Which would make sense as to why they wouldn't be at God of Carnage on a Sunday.
But oh well, the schedule I found was incorrect, as they don't have Sunday performances.

Posted: 9/20/09 at 11:58pmOn Telecharge there is the option to buy tickets to a Sunday show, but perhaps this is the exception and not the rule. I noticed on Playbill they acknowledge the schedule of the production as being so fluctuating that they don't attempt to list its times in the "Schedule of Weekly Broadway Shows."
