I finally got the Spamalot CD!!! Yay!!

Well, it's about time!!

I think the whole cast is pretty good and very strong. Sara Ramirez, as expected blew my mind. She is going to win that Tony, I swear it. She will, her competetion doesn't stand a chance.

Tim Curry was good. Not really great, but good. I like his Laker Girls Cheer. That was a hoot! But, he wasn't the best one.

Hank Azaria was great, even though he came to Spamalot for the silly voices. His Lancelot and French Taunter were both hysterical! I love His Name is Lancelot, that was also very hysterical.

David Hyde Pierce was the best out of the three principal knights. You Won't Succeed On Broadway was wonderful, and I loved Brave Sir Robin, even though I've seen the movie a dozen million times. He was over-looked regarding the Tony nominations. I think David should've gotten the nomination Hank did.

Christian Borle, Michael McGarth, and Christopher Sieber were all great. Once again, someone was over-looked...Mr. Borle. He was great, and I cannot BELIEVE they didn't nominate him!!!! GAW!

My favorite songs were:
The Song that Goes Like This (About the funniest song on the CD...and will probably get performed at the Tonys if Find Your Grail doesn't)

Find Your Grail (Oh god, Sara once again blew my mind. It was so great, and it's actually inspiring! )

Run Away! (Loved it, Hank sounded like he's having a ton of fun)

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life (Another possible Tony performence. I was singing this at school today in a Cockney accent, and this was about the funniest song Tim Curry did)

You Won't Suceed on Broadway (Three words: David Hyde Pierce.)

I am now listening to it because I love it so much. There is never a dull moment on this CD. Of course, this is my opinon. Just thought I'd want to share...

I'm very happy for you! I really love this cd, especially Sara Ramirez. She is just a phenomenal talent who is finally getting her chance to sing out! It's a pretty funny cd, I like it alot. For my fave son, I'm torn between Find Your Grail, Song that goes like this, and the Jew song. And I love Christian Borle and Chris Seiber!

Yeah, I haven't been able to take the it out of my CD player. I don't know why people don't think the music is catchy because I can't get it out of my head. It's fantastic music!

Yes, I have stated before, I am strangely attached to my Spamalot CR. I laughed alot when I saw the show, but left going "It was alright..." But I enjoy the CD so much. Its weird!



I know this is obvious but I have to ask. Gavrochegirl, you do know that Hank hardly sings in "His Name is Lancealot" and David doesn't in "Brave Sir Robin" right? I am sure you do, but I thought you would have talked about them with Christian Borle since he sings both.

obviously you have not seen kelli o'hara, who should win.

the only song i liked on this cd was find your grail. everything else can go away.

David Hyde Pierce rocks. I have officially changed my photo to him.

I definitely think (and even told him to his face) that he deserved a nomination. But I think you can't say that Hank Azaria didn't deserve a nomination until you see the show. He does at least 4 different characters and the voices are right on. I think that if two out of the three had to get nominated, I would say David Hyde Pierce and Hank Azaria. Tim Curry was great in the role, but it's so basic and there wasn't much funny or stand-outish about his role as Arthur.

I still love them all, though.

I got the cd last week and I was very pleasantly surprised. The score was even better than I expected! Catchy melodies and funny lyrics... And Sara Ramirez... she's amazing!!
