I'm very pleased with the nominations. Yes Spamalot took over everything, but Bee and Piazza got good recognition. My votes in the featured category are for Dan Fogler and Celia K-B but I do prefer Piazza's score. Book - Bee definitely. Was sad about the lack of Christian Borle and J-Ferg. I just hope it's not another Producers' like sweep this year with Spamalot...

I totally agree. There isn't anyone that was totally robbed, in my opinion. And I think Spamalot took over everything for good reason.

from the shows i have seen, i am pleased with the nominations, especially vicoria clark!

"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

Amen to Victoria Clark - I can't tell you how many times she made me cry during Piazza...mind you I could have just been caught up in the excitement of seeing the show.

I haven't seen Spamalot but I'm gonna try for standing room at least before the Drama Desks...I'll probably fail miserably lol - but here's hoping for the best :)

P.S. On the Spamalot CD - is anyone else obsessed with Tim Curry saying "Who's the King...Who's the King" during the cheer thing? lol It sounds a lot like Frank :)

Too funny! I don't really hear it that way, but it's a hysterical thought. re: I'm pleased :)

I'm THRILLED.

I loved Spamalot. It was just hilarious. Too bad for the theater snobs.

I actually thought he sounded very Frank-like during 'Find Your Grail,' which was weird since Rocky Horror didn't even cross my mind until after I saw the show...
