It takes place in the hood or urban side of Chicago. A famed collage language professor makes a bet with the dean that he can turn the dean's neice from a nightclub stripper(in a Lil' Kim sort of way) into a glamous aspring starlet. But in the process he does fall in love with her. I was thinking these people.

Professor Jaimason Carl (the Henry Higgins)-Taye Diggs
Rita Perkins (the Eliza Doolittle)-Ashanti
Hugh Reginald Perkins (the Col. Pickering and Alfred Doolittle)-Samuel. L .Jackson

Get a life. Seriously. For the sake of the world.

PRETTY WOMAN and EDUCATING RITA were both "mordern versions" of PYGMALION.

Why subject us to another?

Please tell me you posted that just to piss people off and you don't seriously think that's a good idea.

Watch Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen...
Your dream came true! (minus your cast!)

I meant an African American version of Pygmalion

Either way, it's a horrible idea. PYGMALION IS A MASTER PIECE. It was bad enough watching Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.

There's something frightfully hysterical about reading that first post while realizing that Higgins is supposed to be all about language.

PhantomMag234.

You rank among the brightest scholars of theater, including Liam on this board.

Thank you.

I was reading your idea and I was getting into it, but Ashanti? Did you not see Muppet Wizard of Oz?

It was just their idea, don't bash it.

There is a version that was done "She's all that"
which is why I doubt they'll do it.

Some of you need to calm down. The poor guy just had a little idea he wanted a discussion on. No need to insult him.
The arrogance and rudeness of certain members of this board never fails to amaze me.
