He will be the third performer to win a Tony for playing Finch.

What other roles have garnered Tonys for 3 separate performers in 3 different productions? The only other one I can think of is Rose, but there must be others.

Three different actors have won Tony Awards for playing Pseudolus in Forum. Oh, and three different actresses have won for playing Medea.

There actually aren't as many as you might think. I don't think there have been any character repeats for Featured Actor in a Musical.

I believe Angela Lansbury, Tyne Daly & Patti Lupowned got em.

I don't think Ethel Mermaid did. Or Bernadette for that matter.

The wikipedia page for each Tony category has some trivia, including roles that have won Tonys for multiple actors. Other than the ones I listed, I don't think I saw any others that had 3 winners.
