Ok.... IN the Heights and Ghostlight Records Have made a HUGE FAUX PAS!!!!
They've Scheduled the In the Heights Cd signing at Virgin in Times Sq the Same EXACT Time and Day as the CD Signing for South Pacific. Talk about really bad business practices. Many people who go to CD Signing typically are people who go to all of the cd signings. I know I'm one of those people. I love theater and I love cast Albums and Find this somewhat of a real DUMB move on their part. Also Typically I find that the Cd signings at BN are more Publicised and more organized as well. Why don't they just all do it there. SIlly SILLY SILLY. Just thought I'd mention it.

These things are scheduled well in advance and released to the public later. It surely has happened before and with such a release-heavy couple of weeks there's only so much either party can do. It's not a huge faux-pas, it's just unfortunate. Kind of like your grammatical inconsistencies. Silly, silly, silly.

Uhhhmmmm... Actually I talked to someone at ghostlights and they said that it was a last minute decision and that It was actually a issue with Virgins schedule. The South Pacific signing was planned more than a month in advance. It really is somewhat of a Business Issue. Typically Broadwayworld and Playbill post pictures from such events... I suppose their photographer could run quickly down to Virin and get photos.. assuming that they only have one photographer. I typically only see the head photographer. And as for Grammer.... This is a Thread not a School report get over it.

The simple solution to this Feng, is to buy Ghostlight Records and run it the way it should be run.
It would be interesting to see which signing gets more people.

I say South Pacific will. It has a large Older Following and then of course the younger following that has performed the show in HS. I'm going to One and then going to try and run down and go to the other. We'll see if that works out.
it's "grammar" not "grammer"

The show with the most famous cast member will get the most people. Why? eBay.
You beat me to it, Mealz. Heh.
So I don't see the big deal. It's not really a huge disaster.
haha yeah i think for the MOST Part they attract different fans. ps TDH i love love LOVE your avatar.
this thread is stupid, it should probably be ignored and allowed to die.
Dearest fengshuihellnyc,
Thank you for your concern, and I am sorry that you might have to miss the 5 PM IN THE HEIGHTS CD signing and performance (At Virgin Records - 1540 Broadway & 46th Street) because of a scheduling conflict.
That was me on the phone just now and I am pretty sure I didn’t say it was a last minute decision. BroadwayBaby is right; these things are planned well in advance. It just happened to be when both the IN THE HEIGHTS and South Pacific casts were available, (notably, the fabulous Kelli O’Hara, who just released her debut solo album through Ghostlight Records entitled “Wonder in the World”) and what worked for Virgin and B&N.
I am truly sorry that you were so deeply offended by the strange coincidence of two Tony-nominated shows doing promotional performances right after their cast albums were released.
In the end, life goes on : )
Hugs and Kisses,
Sh-K-Kate (i.e. the one that makes sure your CDs get in the mail right away… just because I love you!!!)
P.S. Thanks for the free press! ; )

Sorry Liverpool, I think you are probably right.
well said, Kate.
the OP is a freak...
thanks
*We* love you Kate!
This is anything BUT a bad business practice. If anything, it does good for the store - double the people will come! Shame on you fengshui, you make no sense.
Kate, I know we've only just met, but this could be the start of something beautiful. Come back any time! ^_^
I still can't figure out what "OP" stands for.
"OP" = original poster, the person who started the thread
Thanks, Dolly.

Is there any way we could stop this "LuPwned" nonsense and start using the word S-h-h-h-h-Kated"?
