Man I can't wait. For one thing, a new Stokes recording while we wait for his solo CD! Playbill gives the CD a rave. Out tomorrow. YAY! Anyone else?

And Calvin, so true. June Pointer was a part of many wonderful, joyful songs.

At the end of the month? Talk about next week. The SOUTH PACIFIC in Concert thing airs next Wednesday night (4/26/06) on PBS at part of their Great Performance series.

I heard Ms. Reba was a mess -- can't wait to see it for myself!

I was at Carngie Hall (in the cheap seats) and while Stokes was brilliant, both Reba and Lilias White muffed some lines. Stuff like that passes quickly in a live concert, but gets magnified on a recording. I love Debbie Gravitte but her messing up on
'Wherever He Aint' on the live recording of MACK & MABEL'S 1988 London recording makes me crazy.

which version did they perform? I'm quite partial to the Royal National Theatre CD with all the revisions and the new song...
