I have now heard from two different sources that there is a new musical (they have a website and demo CD) that is bound for Broadway. I've not seen anything in the press but wondered if anyone else has heard? I did find the website and the demo tracks are great!

Shill be coming 'round the mountain when she comes.
Come on now, if you were just randomly surfing the web and just happened to come across some truly great demo songs for an exciting new musical that everyone will soon be talking about, wouldn't you also immediately join this board and share the news?
The Giant Parrot scared me.
I just took one look at the title of this thread and knew the person who started it just joined today.

Wow! You guys are a tough crowd. So anyone new who joins and asks a question or shares some news about a show is what... a lurker?? I actually had heard about the show, searched to find the site (because I wasn't sure if what I was hearing was true) and as someone who visits THIS site a lot for news and info, I thought that I would post something that I actually found and liked. Forgive me if I have offended anyone. So far, I guess people are about where I was when I heard about this - in the dark. Welcome to some light.
Pirate shows, like vampire shows SUCK!
They DON'T belong on the Great White Way: BROADWAY!
Those clips stink.
Shills and lurkers are two different things, aren't they?
Doesn't look good even on the website.......
Oh, christ.

"It's the show for anyone who has ever dreamed of being a pirate!" Truly, an audience underserved by Broadway.
"Samuel's adventures bring him face to face with ravaging pirates, gruesome ghosts, a bloodthirsty uncle, a looney queen, and a villianous Sea Hag!" Well, here's a switch! I've seen musicals with a Ravaging Uncle and a Looney Queen (Often the same person) but this lineup is unique.
"All this and a six-foot parrot named Hamlet who can talk and talk and talk!" Ah, a role to bring Harvey Fierstein back to the Great White Way!
Wow, the dialogue is awesome! It's like Vampire Lesbians of Sodom except serious. I can't pick a favorite line:
"Everything's big in the Land of the Sea Hag"
"How surprising, you're so quick with the tongue...in more ways than one!"
"Many a frog's bottom's been stuck by this poker!"
God, this is awesome! Are there really 14 scenes in the first act alone? And Squid attakcs, swordfights, Amazons and Mermaids!? This will make the OTHER Pirate musical look underproduced!

What a horrible title.
^Worse than "Urinetown."
Most looney queens I know also are villainous sea hags. SPOILER ALERT!
*joins Foa and Dottie in song*
This has "smash hit" written all over it.
Now wait a second guys maybe we're being a little too tough on them...
Nah.
should we make them walk the plank?
...arr
I've listened to three songs and so far I don't like them....and I LIKE EVERYTHING! They seriously just went cha cha cha at the end of a pirate song...AAAHHHH!
Was this someone's High School English project?

Scott, call 1-800-SAY-ARGH.
They honestly think a cast with a Minimum of 26 people with 11 leads and featuring an orchestra with Flute, Piccolo, English Horn, French Horn, Trumpet, Clarinet, Oboe, Bass, Trombone, Tuba, Mandolin, Guitar, Violin, Viola, Fiddle (2x), Cello, Mallets, Timpani, Percussion, Keyboards/Piano, Accordion, Synthesizer is going to be feasibly produced on Broadway?
Good luck.
