Ticket resale website StubHub has paired with hit musical "Jersey Boys" to establish StubHub as the show-approved secondary sales outlet for North American productions of the tuner.
Deal seems likely to raise eyebrows among those in the legit industry who equate StubHub with scalping.

Is there anyone who doesn't equate StubHub with scalping?
I agree about the scalping part. I have never seen people selling cheap or reasonably priced tickets on there.
Yes, but the thing is is that stubhub is MUCH safer then a scalper. Ironically stubhub is owned by Ebay yet both have different policies when it comes to selling tickets.
For example, if I were selling tickets then stubhub would take down my credit card info as the seller and if the tickets that I sell are fake etc then they will charge me the amount that the buyer would have spent on the tickets.
For ebay, if you give someone false tickets and they pay 500 bucks for them then they are screwed. With stubhub while things might be overpriced there is no incentive for the seller to lie about the tickes because they know that if they do they are just going to be shooting themselves in the foot.
^^Stub does have that guarantee, which if you are going to spend through the nose, you'd like to have. StubHub is used for many sporting events (the official ticket broker here in Boston for Sox tix, not that I have ever used em!).
Still, they are scalping. Just legally, I suppose. I think I'd rather just buy in advance or try my luck with cancellation lines. Face value and often great last minute house seats.
