Any JRB fans out there, his website has been updated with a song cut from "Parade" and The Act II opening "It Goes On and On" cut from the cast album. They both sound great!

Ooh, it's like watching a deleted scene on a DVD. I just saw the SpeakEasy production of Parade. It was amazing. Had to shill. Sorry.

The speakeasy production was good? I wanted to see it, but it got less than stellar reviews and such. Maybe I will check it out.

ElFantasma14, the production of SpeakEasy was absolutely amazing. The critics don't know crap. The Boston Globe review wasn't even about the production. In my opinion, the critic must have been thinking, "At last, after 8 years, I finally get to share my criticisms of the book and score with the world...or at least the greater Boston area."

In my opinion, the one weak point was that the guy who plays Governor Slaton doesn't have the best singing voice.

i love the SpeakEasy production sans the midget they have cast as Mary Phagan (who is scarily tone deaf). Everyone else rocked my socks. I normally HATE everything SpeakEasy does and this was just really breathtaking :)
