Jan Maxwell and Marc Kudisch make Chitty Chitty Bang Bang pure joy. I was lucky to get tickets to see it tonight(for my 4 year old Nephew) It was his first Broadway experience. Take your Niece and Nephew to Chitty. Watching him watch the show was one of the greatest moments of my life.
PS Bring lots of cash.
(Jackson wanted candy and two boxes one for him and his mother were 14 dollars with a bottle of water. The toy car I bought him was 10. The large one was $35. bucks.

Glad you liked it! I only saw Jan of the two mentioned, she was incredible.
My absolute favorite part of Chitty was when the car first took off, and the children in the audience gasped, yelled with joy and applauded. It really was a magical moment.
ETA: There was a mentally handicapped child sitting right behind me. During intermission, I happened to glance at him as he was going on and on about the car and how it flew and how "the daddy" waved to him. I will never forget the elated look on his face. That's what theater is all about.

The two of them were absolute perfection in these roles. As in all other roles. They can do no wrong in my eyes.
Marc is one of the greatest male stars I have ever seen.
Jan Maxwell is a comic genius.
Jan is THE BEST. and by far the best character entrance EVER.

They were the only saving grace in this very mediocre show.
Ah, I'm maybe seeing it again this weekend. I considered seeing another show, but now you've made me want to see it again. I've never seen Marc in this show, he had already left by the time I saw it.

They were by far the best part and basically why I returned a second time.
It was my second time. Jackson got the biggest kick out of Boris/Doris.
Whenever Boris spoke Jackson giggled.
