She was a remarkable writer. She will be missed.
A true talent. Such a travesty that she was never nominated for a Tony. Rest in peace.

Goth, you're almost always first with these announcements. It's as if you're BWW's very own Angel of Death. (Even if the rest of us can just look up in the news headlines on the board and see what you announce a short time later.)
And Muriel Spark passed away so recently! The author first... and now the adaptor of "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie."

Was she interviewed in THE CELLULOID CLOSET? I seem to remember her talking about how it wasn't that difficult to slip things past the censors because they weren't very bright.
She left quite a body of work - thanks for that, and rest in peace.

Cabaret and The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie were incredible. She will be missed.

Yes, she cut quite a dashing, intelligent figure in CELLULOID CLOSET. So sharp and formidable. She seemed like someone who'd have been a great guest at a dinner party.

Among the great work she did for the screen is the script for the underrated Hitchcock film, "Marnie."
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie is my favorite film, Marnie and Cabaret are also fine films as well! She was a great writer.
