Jordin Sparks extending In the Heights Run

It looks like Jordin Sparks is extending her run on In the Heights until February 20, 2011. According to Jordin's Twitter (therealjordin) she is putting up two tickets and a meet and greet for a raffle for charity and in the small print it says she will be in the show until 2/20/11. Good news for those wanting to catch her on Broadway. Not sure how good she is though.

That is good to hear for the show itself, she will help bring in a huge crowd around the holidays.

I'm guessing that's when the show will close(2/20/2011) if the rumors are true??

Oh goodness. I hope the show makes until the movie is released. Probably not.

I keep hoping they can truck along until the movie (which would help them out a great deal) but yeah...things aren't looking too hot for them, unfortunately. I FINALLY got to see this show last month, and loved it.

The money they would make off of a movie that won't even be seen for another year and a half (minimum) will be offset by the tragic numbers they would bring in waiting for it.

I asked Jordin today if she extended until February and she said she is only contracted til November, but she is hoping to extend.

Well what are some other african-americans and hispanic celebrities can they bring in to keep this trucking along. I personally think that this has had a great run so far. I think that closing it to make room for another show would not be a bad idea though.
