Posted: 6/4/10 at 2:17pmI'm going to see Collected Stories on the 13th. I've been wanting to see it and just haven't gotten to it. Plus it was on tdf so I figured why not. I've never been to a final show so I'm curious to see how things go.

I'm not sure that the Collected Stories performance will be that much different than a regular performance. For a limited run of a play, they won't necessarily do anything special (although some of the creative team might show up).
Not a whole lot of extensions recently. Did anything on the list besides Andrew Jackson and Sondheim on Sondheim (and God of Carnage, of course) extend beyond its originally announced closing date?

Posted: 6/4/10 at 4:03pmRTC's production of GLASS MENAGERIE extended at least once, iirc.

Posted: 6/4/10 at 4:57pmProbably because the vast majority of limited runs recently have been limited because they had stars, whose schedules can make it impossible to extend; or because they were transfers of London productions, where the visas are only for a certain length of time.

Posted: 6/4/10 at 8:06pmI saw Restoration a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I would love to go back and see it again, but sadly financial stuff will prevent that.

June 6, 2010 - GOD OF CARNAGE
Today, God of Carnage closes. I saw the show 2 weeks ago and thought it was brilliantly performed. It was my first play that I ever saw on Broadway and I'm sad that's closing. Hopefully, the tour will be picked up again. My best of luck to the cast and crew on their future endeavors.

I think there are only 2 days left, but if you have a chance, check out THE GLASS MENAGERIE.
I just saw it tonight, and it moved my beyond words. I found it to be spectacular. Judith Ivey is beyond words.
