What an amazing show! They are playing again at the Laurie Beechman Theatre on November 10. For anyone who is a fan of either of these ladies please do yourself a favor and make a reservation! Andre Ward apparently thought he could show up without a reservation and he was left out on the street!
BTW Jackie Hoffman was in the audience tonight as well.

Posted: 10/21/08 at 9:42amBoth are very talented performers. On Alison Fraiser's first cd, she does a great version of "The Blonde Song" from Gunmetal Blues.

Posted: 10/21/08 at 10:05amI have seen Alison Fraser in Gypsy, other than that I hadn't heard her sing before, but she was fantastic last night. I'm a huge fan of Mary Testa as you probably have surmised by now so, I tend to go on and on about her performance and forget about everyone else. But really I can't say enough about the whole show- just amazing.

It's a wonderful, wonderful show--a tribute to the music of Alison's late and talented husband, Rusty McGee, and also a tribute to the enduring friendship of these tqo incredibly talented women.
The night I saw it, Annie Golden got up and did one of Rusty's songs, with Alison and Mary doing backup!
Go, go, go, go, go!
