Has anyone ever heard of this show? Know anything about it?

I just saw some elaborately produced promo clips for this mysterious show?

I was looking up: mack mabel and this thing just popped up.

I'm really curious.

Part of the problem with MACK AND MABEL is that no matter what you do - or how you stage it - you can't duplicate the Mack Sennett film comedies on stage. I wonder how this production at least attempts it...

Is this the same show from the McCarter Theater that Mel Gussow reviewed in the Times in 1982? Ken Mandelbaum at broadway.com says that the McCarter run was a pre-Broadway tryout, but it didn't make it. (It was recorded for TV, shown on cable, and VHSs of it may be kicking around somewhere.)
