Does that make anyone else really happy? This woman is amazing.
It's an orgasmic thought. Is this happening anytime soon?
Never mind, just read the article.
And I'll say it again...it's ORGASMIC news.
I am not familiar with her. Is her voice beautiful?
I look forward Archie and Neville. Please, bring James Barbour in!
Expert casting, she'll bring much to the role.
I saw Laura when she did a concert with the London Symphony Orchestra here in Florida, and I don't know if she wasn't prepared or if she just was having a bad night, but her voice wasn't up to par. She was very breathy and she did no acting. She looked very uncomfortable performing. I was really looking forward to seeing her, as I first learned about her playing Maria on Broadway when she was 19. I was just disapointed. I hope to see her again and have my confidence renewed in her. Someone in the audience said she was getting married the next day so maybe it was just nerves. I hope she amazes me next time.

I'm probably just blind, but I can't find the article.
Can someone post a link?
That's because there is no link. Apparently the person who started the thread assumes everyone reads what they read.

SHE WILL BE BRILLIANT.
I LOOOOVE The Secret Garden, and LOOOVE Ms. Benanti!
YAAAAY!
- Ben, counting the days to buy tickets!
Since this is a concert, I think she'll be lovely. Her voice is perfect for the role. However, in a full production, I think she's still too young for the role. Does she seem old enough to have a 12 year old son?
Nevertheless, as this is a concert, she's perfect. Excellent casting.

Well, the character is supposed to have been dead for several years, and Archibald remembers her as the young woman he married. I can definitely see Laura Benanti in this role. PLEASE bring on James Barbour. The thought of him singing Lily's Eyes . . . I melt.
" Does she seem old enough to have a 12 year old daughter?"
Or son...
Jennifer Holliday is playing Martha.

Thanks. You're right, of course. I'd gone and given Lily a daughter (Mary) when she had only a son. I've fixed it now, but thanks for pointing that out.
What's funny is I've listened to that CD mroe times than I can count...

I thought Lily died in childbirth, so Colin's age isn't important in regard to her age.
