I saw the understudies for Seymour, Mushnik, Voice of Audrey II & Crystal. I'm not a big fan of the show in general, but I absolutly LOVED the urchins. They make it all worthwhile. If not for them, I might have left at intermission. I can't remember what the name of the girl who played Audrey was, but I prefer her over Butler on the CD. She takes a moor "Greene" approach than Butler did. The understudy for Crystal, one of the urchins, Nikki Renee Daniels, was absolutley AMAZING! That girl is going somewhere! Overall, its just a mediocre revival. I prefer the orginal off-Broadway version.
Buts its colorful and fun with music you can move to and the Urchins make the show! They got a standing O (They bow first! What is that all about????) and then everyone sat back down!! and never stood back up for anyone else. it was hilarious, but the urchins deserved it!

I loved the tour cast when it was in Seattle. I prefer the revival to the off-broadway original. Tari Kelly is amazing as Audrey her voice and the way she moves in character is great. She was really funny. I agree I do like her better than Kerry Butler(whom I do like) and Anthony Rapp(when he was still in the show) was a really cute Seymour. I thought it was really well acted and the Urchins were fantastic. They made me laugh and they also got a Standing O, as well as everyone else when they were here. Even though at the theatre it played at here the plant didn't go over the audience it was still amazing. It was worth staying up late and going to on a school night.
