Lost Tickets

So I ordered Chitty Bang Bang tickets from Ticketmaster as a Christmas present.

Several weeks later, the tickets have still not arrived. I called Ticketmaster and they said they'd been mailed about a month ago. Looks like they're lost.

Ticketmaster told me to call them 2 days before the show and they'll convert the tickets to "will call".

Sounds OK to me, but what if somebody has found (or stolen) the original tickets and tries to use them?

This happened to me. Everything went fine at will call and everything. It's very easy. As it turns out, the tickets had come and were in such an inconspicuous (sp?) envelope that we had missed them.

If that happens they'll probably bring both parties out to the box office and ask for id or credit card number to prove who bought the tkts, but I'm pretty sure your safe.

I concur with maybethistime. Make sure you from the credit card number it was purchased with, and if you have the confirmation paper from online, bring that too.

This happened to us with the Producers last March....they told us to just be sure and have the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets and ID. You should be fine!

Enjoy the show!

Christmas mail delivery was horrendous this year. A friend in Brooklyn sent me a card on 12/21. It didn't arrive here on Long Island until 1/7. I mailed my chiropractor a Channukah card on 12/5 and he didn't get it until after Christmas--and we're in the same town!

There were also a larger than normal bunch of cards that arrived in plastic bags (I call them "body bags") because the cards were horribly mangled in the mail.

Your CHITTY tickets may still be on their way to you!

Don't worry too much about it. I think you'll be fine. Just make sure you check every piece of mail really well. I almost threw out my 42nd Street tickets because the envelope looked like something that junk mail would come in!

You'll be fine. Just bring the credit card with you and proof of ID and, if you have it, the email confirmation.

I've done it a few times and it's pretty easy.

Ticketmaster and Telecharge have posted that even if you forget your tickets the day of the show---you just have to give your credit card # at the box office and they can verify the purchase and you'll have no problem getting your purchased seats. (you'll need ID, I'm sure).

i recieved an opened envelope from ticketmaster once with nothing in it, which does apparently happen (i guess people are able to detect what a ticketmaster envelope looks like no matter how inconspicuous it looks) and still had no problem. i wouldn't worry about it, i'm sure things like this happen all the time.

Im not sure if its the same, but when i was going to Wicked with my dad i lost our tickets somewhere. I loked everywhere and couldn't find them. We called up ticketmaster, and the theatre. Since the Tickets were still ours and those seats were ours they issued us new tickets. We picked them up at the theatre. Now if someone found our old tickets, they couldn't use them.
