Posted: 6/28/07 at 1:46pmIn the title song of "Guys and Dolls", there is a lyric I don't quite understand. "When you see a mugg, lately out of the jug and he's still lifting platinum folderol." I don't quite understand what this lyric means. Little help please?

Posted: 6/28/07 at 2:40pmI have always assumed that the lyric meant that the "Mug," recently paroled from the "Jug," and on probation, nonetheless is risking incarceration by stealing trinkets ("platinum folderol") to satisfy his "Doll."
