Well, the dates are announced, the prices, as well.
But when do they go on sale?

Posted: 3/3/08 at 5:42pmThe article that was just posted on BWW states that tickets are now available, which is why I suggested calling Telecharge because the show isn't up on the website yet.

My pleasure.
So many shows, so little time! I wish I could afford to extend my trip a couple of days!

My non-AMEX seats (purchased this morning) were pretty nice. I am AMEX but tend to forget to look for their "deals."

Posted: 3/5/08 at 9:06pmI got my ticket for May 17th matinee via AmEx. They didn't seem to be doing turnaway business -- every date I asked about seemed to be available at good locations. I just wanted to be safe -- Shakespeare isn't exactly a best seller, as a rule.

Got my ticky for March 30. Front row of the balcony, on the aisle.
Mike (and whoever else wondering), it's a straight-forward production of Shakespeare's Macbeth. No adaptation.
It's set in a hospital in Stalinist Russia (with Macbeth being the dictator). I've heard mixed things about the production from friends who saw it - I don't like venturing to Brooklyn - but they've all said that Stewart is unbelievable. The thing, though, is that the whole thing looks like a Stalinist-reigeme, but nobody plays it that way.
The Weird Sisters (the witches) are nurses, who "rap" the "toil and trouble," speech. Lady Macbeth (Kate Fleetwood in a dazzling performance, I've heard) is a solid 30 years younger than Stewart, which, apparently, makes it clear all she's in it for is the power. And she gets groped a lot - above and down below.
It's very bloody. There are a lot of projections, as well.
Macbeth is one of Bill's shortest plays, coming in at about 2.5 hours most times. This performance has extended it to 3.
And since tickets quietly went on sale this morning, I don't think they're be a high demand yet.
