This thing'll need amazing reviews to do well.

Quite a few people have sounded pessimistic about this musical but I think most of those have not seen the show. It was good and will likely get better. The reviews were positive in both San Diego and Seattle. Some things needed to change- no question.

It's interesting that Sister Act just opened positively in London. It was not that great in LA but, I guess it is much better now. I saw both and I thought Memphis had a lot more going for it and had big potential.

Well, obviously the producers think it's the right time to take the show to the "big leagues." Seems like they've done the work of trying to get it ready by having two out-of-town productions. Is Chad Kimball transferring with it?

I believe all the leads will remain the same. They were terrific and were part of the shows' strength. I felt that the book just needed to provide a little more chemistry between the leads.
