Walking back from Color Purple on Saturday afternoon in the rain, I noticed that the sign in front of the old Mark Hellinger Theatre, now the Times Square Church, was gone and it looked like it was empty inside, although there was info about the place on the outsides.
Any idea whats going on? I read later that day in the Daily News about them celebrating its 20th Anniversary this year so maybe they were just getting a new sign or something?
Was too young to ever see anything there and i have heard it is beautiful inside so i am just curious if anyone knew anything?

It never should ahve stopped being a theatre. Here's to the re-opening!

Times Square Church does. I just got a newsletter from them and they don't say anything about moving.
