I'm making the trip to the Kennedy Center in DC tomorrow for the "Lunchtime Look-In" at "Mister Roberts," the comedy starring Hunter Foster that is currently playing at the KC's Eisenhower theatre. I'm not seeing the show until next week but when I saw I had the opportunity to have lunch and a sit down discussion with the cast...I got me a ticket. I've never been to one of these before so I don't know what to expect. I haven't even seen the show and all the other people are going to have these questions about "Mister Roberts" and I'm going to be the college kid in the back like: "Hehehe...I'm just here to see Hunter."

Looking forward to it though.

Saw him in "Urinetown" and "Little Shop" but I never caught him afterwards...so I made it my point this time. I'm excited...not too familiar with the rest of the cast, though.

Hunter's the only thing that's ever gotten me to go to the stage door. Also the only actor who can make me cry upon simply appearing.
Have fun, lucky duck!

I think Hunter is great and was the reason I went to see "LS". His performance on the Tonys of "Run,Freedom,Run" made me WANT to see him in "Urinetown" but I only got to see that on tour.

I will definitely see him when he starts April 12 in "Modern Orthodox."

Hunter's fabulous, I met him at LSOH. The only thing is, to me...he seemed kind of cold. I don't know. I've heard he's just shy...that and I couldn't really form rational thoughts or sentences because it was Hunter Foster.

Hope you have a good time!

Well, I was there today and you are right. Hunter is an extremely shy guy, but sooo nice. It was great to sit down with the cast and hear them tell stories about how they grew up and how they got into theatre. Surprisingly enough...there seems to be a lot of similarities between he and I in the manner of how we got into theatre. But I learned a lot about this show. We heard how everyone got their part and how the audition process was. They spoke about the process they went through to research for their roles. They all spoke about future projects and Hunter spoke about Modern Orthodox. All in all it was a fun time. It was me, the only college kid, in a room full of people very much my senior. I think the second youngest person was about 40...so I stuck out quite a bit. The whole cast would look at me at times with looks as if to say..."What is this kid doing here? Doesn't he have school?" It was a great time though. Hunter signed my ticket stub and we took a picture. He wished me luck with everything and I left. A definite ray of sunshine in this dark and rainy day.

And I definitely agree with QuiteSo...I was unable to speak around him. I think it went something along the lines of "(nervous laugh) I love your work...(nervous laugh)...can u sign this?...(nervous laugh)...um...err...would...you mind...i mean...can i...take...picture? (vomit)"

It took me three shows but I finally met him. I felt as if I were in the presence of a legend...and most of the people there were like..."Urine-what?"...hahaha. God bless this U Michigan alum...all so talented.

Oh wow I'm so jealous of your experience! re: Meeting Hunter Foster!

I saw Mister Roberts on Sunday and thought Hunter was wonderful. re: Meeting Hunter Foster! I got tickets to the show just because he was in it (and it was close - I live in Baltimore). The show was great though and I'm so glad I went.

I waited outside the stage door for a while afterwards, but the weather was super crappy and it was the matinee, so I wasn't expecting him to come out anyway. I nearly got up the courage to ask the other cast members that were standing around the door whether he'd be coming out, but thought that would have been super rude. Oh well - one day I will meet him! I had it all planned out too ("Hunter you were the best Leo Bloom ever!" ::run away blushing madly::).

Oh what a cutie he is - second in my book only to Roger. re: Meeting Hunter Foster!

Hunter is soo great. One of my faves. I was way too starstruck when I met him to actually say something coherant but I managed to get a pic with him anyway.

I should have gone to this, given you some younger company. I didn't realize that it coincided with spring break or else I would have gone.

Talking about approaching for autographs. I saw Big River last night at Fords and Micheal McElroy bolted right after, but he was standing on the Metro platform when I came down the escalator. I finally got up enough courage to ask him for an autograph and he seemed really nice.

I recently got the cast recording of LSoH with Hunter and Kerry and am addicted to it! :-P I've been listening off of a live recording with Anthony Rapp and Tari Kelly for a while now and as amazing as it is, it's refreshing to not have to hear some guy laughing hysterically in my ear throughout the songs. :-P
