I have learned that in addition to SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, DANGEROUS LIASIONS, and THE OVERWHELMING, Roundabout will be presenting revivals of:

-PYGMALION (no casting gossip yet)
-Terrence McNally's THE RITZ starring Rosie Perez

The prospect of seeing PYGMALION for the 673th time doesn't exactly thrill me.

The prospect of seeing Sunday in the Park with George makes up for it! :)

I wish the BYE BYE BIRDIE rumors were true! A boy can hope.

Eh. BYE BYE BIRDIE is a show that lots of subscribers would shun.

The Ritz, huh? Rosie Perez. That's oddly compelling.

How about forgetting Pygmalion and just doing MFL with O'Hara and Frasier?

Seriously, I think most people would rather see a revival of MY FAIR LADY.
And not really loving the idea of THE RITZ with Rosie Perez.

The suscribers didn't shun PAJAMA GAME, did they?

TPG is just as overdone in non-professional theater as Birdie, so I don't really think that proves to be an isssue anymore since Pajama Game.

But I get the suscribers would want more intelligent theater, a la Sunday In The Park..

I really hope Bye Bye Birdie is revived someday with a rewritten book, instead of ANOTHER Grease revival.

Eh, at least Philip Bosco would have a job if they do Pyg.

I'd love to see a revival of BYE BYE BIRDIE with the right cast though.
Wonder who'll be cast in PYGMALION though...

Well, this Roundabout subscriber won't be renewing.

I'll buy "single tickets" for the shows which I'm interested in.

I'll end up with decent seats, of my own choosing, the nights I want to go and the selection of shows which interest me.

The way my subscription was treated this year (double shows, terrible seats, all early previews) was unforgiveable.

I've been a LONG time subscriber. No more.

CATS, that's Lincoln Center.

For some reason, I thought Dangerous Liaisons was out. Anyway, I'm glad that there is talk it's back in. And Sunday in the Park with George...*sighs* I just can't wait.

I'm looking forward to 'The Ritz'. Rosie Perez pretty much is Googie Gomez, and I think she'll be great. And I think Brad Oscar would be good in the lead. And Matthew Morrison for 'Brick'(is that the characters name, whatever Treat Williams played in the movie).

Roundabout loves to reuse people; I'll bet they cast Lily Rabe as Eliza.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Is Laura Linney supposed to be in Dangerous Liaisons or The Overwhelming?

Thanks for the info, Munk.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Linney in LIAISONS is inspired. I only wish she'd had her shot at CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF (rather than the whining Judd)... and eventually, STREETCAR.

plus the great news today about cabaret ...

(yawn)

am i just being a pissy queen, or is roundabout really in a nose-dive this year? speaking as a future former subscriber and a future former contributor, i wonder if the people running the organization are at all concerned about the direction the organization is headed in ...
