My thoughts on 9 to 5

I thought the show is absolutely fantastic for what it is. It's not a piece that will make you think or feel deeply, but it will put a smile on your face and put you in a great mood. The costumes, sets, choreography, etc were all top-notch. The songs are catchy and fun. Megan did a great job of both channeling Dolly and making the role her own. Allison's singing is surprisingly okay and she suits the role perfectly. Stephanie is magical. Her acting is brilliant and she OWNS that stage. "Get Out and Stay Out" was like a religious experience for me. What's great about all three ladies is that in terms of charisma and overall talent, they're evenly matched and they all have strong chemistry with each other. They all get their chance to "shine like the sun." Marc, Kathy, and the rest of the cast were also wonderful. I hope 9 to 5 wins several Tonys and I won't be surprised if it does.
