"NEW" Peters and Short Movie on TNT

This is NOT a new movie. I saw the ad for it today and thought, "Oh, that has finally made it into syndication".

I'm just happy they're finally airing it! They changed premeire dates quite a few times. I believe Bernadette filmed that right after her run in Annie Get Your Gun ended, and it was originally supposed to air over a year ago.

Andrea Martin is also in it

I don't know why it says Peters and Short head the cast? They don't. It stars Christina Applegate and Sean McGuire (from what I understand). Peters, Short, and Martin are sort of between supporting actors and lead actors. They do have major roles in the movie, but the movie is not focused around their characters.

So is this the very first airing? I remember seeing previews for this a couple of years ago. I never saw the film, but I know I saw the ads for it.

It's not new, I worked on it 2 yrs ago. and it has played 2x that i've seen. It was fun. Christina was very sweet as was the actor who played the Prince (He was badly injured in a stunt) Marty was... Marty- a nice guy but a bit full of himself. Bernie was sweet quiet VERY professional & funny. Her PA has been with her for years obviously loyalty means something to the woman. OH and the guy who plays Tybalt in the play is one of my fav stunt co ordinators John Stead who is also the fight co ord for Stratford . Colin Fox also was great as the KING. A cute little show.

While this movie was made a while ago this will be its US Premiere. Like Theaterbaby said, it's premiere was pushed back quite a bit. I think some might be confusing it with a feature film that Christina Applegate made and was released about a year and a half ago. It was a very similar concept and I wonder if that is one of the reasons this Made-for-TV movie's premiere was pushed back. So for most purposes, this is a new movie.

I believe I did hear some rumors about it being released in the UK not too long ago. Perhaps over there they stuck with their original release date? But, like moljul said, this will be the US premiere.

I checked my old call sheet.It was orig filmed for showtime which guarantees is @ leasyt 6 showings there before it is sold for other venues/broadcasters.

Well, it seems from the very beginning this movie had somewhat of a rough start...the beginning of filming was delayed because Sean got into a motorcycle accident and broke his arm and got a black eye. I think he did film a few scenes with the broken arm though. They just waited a little while for him to recover and enough so that they could hide his black eye with make up. They also finished a week or so off schedule because of all of that.The movie was supposed to be out the following August. And then somewhere down the line it got pushed back to February (and I think they were planning on marketing it as a Valentine's Day movie). I believe they did show some previews for it on TNT back then because they honestly believed they were going to premiere it at that time. I think they also filmed some interviews from the set because I remember my friend seeing a commercial about them doing a behind the scenes program on it before it was set to air. It was shown over in the UK on their Hallmark Channel in December. Its also repeated several times since then. And its played in a few other counties but this will be its US premiere.

Not quite right. Sean had a bike accident( stunt) about 1/2 thru the shooting. He was off for a week healing ( Here's a "nice" story: the PM called him THE SAME DAY Sean had had the surgury to pin his # wrist, to see if he could shoot the next day!!!! Sean said no.) He had a lightweight cast on @ 1st & did a lot of work while wearing it ( we covered it with a flesh coloured tape I recall) and eventually was just wearing a brace for that hand/wrist. He had to sword fight and jump from ropes etc & did t all without complaint! A real trouper& a nice guy to boot! I think one of the delays was music clearance. The director was originally in music production and wanted certain songs BUT I noticed in the wedding sequence that the music is NOT what we originally were using. Updated On: 7/6/03 at 12:30 PM

Well, I'm just going by what Sean has said in interviews and by stuff that is posted on his site, as well as what I've been told from people that worked on the movie with him. Here is a little bit of what was posted on his official website about the incident:

"Filming was due to begin last week but Sean came off his motorbike while tearing around the streets of LA and ending up bashed and bruised with a broken arm. It's the second time Sean as come a cropper shortly before a big career move. He broke his leg playing football before he was due to start work in Eastenders as Irish teenager Aidan and his injury had to be written into the script."


I guess he should edit that...... :)

Hmmmm, far be it from me to presume that an actor could "expand" on events to make them more dramatic or interesting LOL Doesn't really matter.. he wa still a nice guy gave me a big kiss " for taking such good care of him" ( collective AWWWW sounds with multiple gaging noises)
