Same as it ever was.
How did Denzel blow off his speech? I assume he was dressed properly because there were no threads about what he was wearing.

Posted: 6/14/10 at 3:44pmThe Fanny Brice comment makes even less sense when in the context of the sentence it came from.

How did Denzel blow off his speech?
By not fulfilling expectations of which he was completely unaware.

I will say, though, that I wish I came up with this one:
"giving off the distinct death reek of a Chris Klein audition video"
Just thinking about that video makes me feel better bout myself.

Posted: 6/14/10 at 4:08pmI agree. That video does wonders for one's self esteem (unless you are Chris Klein). It's one of those "At least I'm not..." moments. I try to cling to such thoughts when I'm feeling self-conscious. Sort of like going to a dance club reminding myself that there will be at least ONE person who looks older/fatter/more pathetic than me. I do the same with water parks or the beach. If I enter with that state of mind, I can usually relax and have a good time knowing that even if I can't seem them, they are there. Somewhere.

Posted: 6/14/10 at 4:21pmI was just a bit "struck" by Denzel's forgetting The American Theater Wing. He is a professional and should have been able to easily come up with "I would like to thank the Tony voters". He has just come off with a lack of personality or caring. He has not been the usual smiling person he has been in the past. And, I will go there, his pants were too long!

I don't remember him smiling since the early 90s.
