Hey
Does anyone have any new information on Les Mis on Broadway?
Thanks guys
This is still the only information that has come from Cameron Mackintosh's office. It's the article from Broadwy.com

I can also post that Craig Schulman, who played Valjean for 10 years on Bd'w and Bd'w tours is being considered for the role. . More to come by early summer.

As long as no pop stars are in it, I will be fine.

Haha.
Joey Fatone as Enjolras
Ashley Parker as Marius
Britney as Eponine
Christina as Fantine
Jessica Simpson as Cosette
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne as The Thenardiers
I think Sharon Osbourne actually has some potential if you really think about it. But that would never happen nor would I actually want to see that happen.
As for Christina, I would KILL to see her on Broadway. In the right show and part ofcourse.

She could easily be one of the French Prostitues in Les Mis...
I like her as well though, but yeah, there aren't many shows she could feasibly be in...

Another campaign could be Mariah Carey as Eponine....
ouch Christina on Broadway? No thanks
But the Osbournes would be awesome Thenardiers, lol...
But no thanks to Christina, Jessica and Ashley, I'll pass..

So, Craig Schulman is being considered for Valjean. I have only seen/heard him sing his part of "One Day More" when the Broadway cast was on the "Today" show as part of "Broadway on Today." Craig was pretty good I guess, but it wasn't enough for me to decide if I really liked his Valjean.

Wow Right Now I have this amazing sceen of Ozzy and Sharon Doing Master of the House and its absolutley amazing, i know it would be a disaster but it would be freakin hillarious, anyways back to the real world...
I'm hoping that they get some B'way Vets in there, I mean this is the last time Les Mis will be running for A LOOOOONG time, and it needs to go out with a bang and deserves a brilliant cast for it last hurrah...im just praying its not a disaster..

About pop stars, if I was in charge of casting of Les Mis or any other show I would not definately say "no" right away, but the star would have to really impress me in the audition for him or her to get the role.
Back to Craig Schulman, has anyone here seen him as Valjean, and how was he like?

I have a, um, recording of Craig Schulman's Valjean...and I'm not a fan. It's very old-school Les Mis in it's sound, complete with fake British/affected pronunciation (much like Gary Morris on the CSR, but far more noticeable and annoying).
any others being considered for JVJ??
If Craig Schulman's in the running, then good god, I sure hope so.
Does Colm Wilkinson have a chance?/Would he ever do it again?
