So, we now know for a fact there is a reworking of "Listen" as a duet for Deena and Effie (and it is ON FIRE judging from the rehearsal vid).
And we know "Patience" for Jimmy and Lorrell is in.
What about "Love You, I Do" for Effie?
And "Perfect World" would be fun for the actors playing Little Albert & the Tru-Tones as a pseudo-Jackson 5 in the 2nd act Vegas section, but maybe not.
And I personally prefer reworked "When I First Saw You" as a solo for Curtis as done in the film, though the new duet version on the soundtrack is good too, but will they just keep the original?
Does anyone know for sure what new songs are definitely in besides "Listen" and "Patience"? And which Act II opening will be used?
As long as the show already is, I think these songs ("Listen" and "Patience" particularly) add new layers to an already almost impossibly rich confection of a score. I know many disagree, but I still love "Listen" and think that it provides Deena and Effie with emotional material they DESPERATELY lack in the 2nd act.

When was "Patience" announced? I always have read just "Listen". "Patience" is mostly to underscore visuals in the film. I can't see it being interesting or essential on stage.
