So, is there any news on Sondheim's Bounce? Is he still working on it or did he give up? I hope he's still working on it. I actually liked it to begin with!

Posted: 12/29/06 at 5:51pmThere was a reading earlier this year with Bernadette Peters playing a featured role (I believe her role was not present in the production that was recorded). I assume Sondheim is working on that version or perhaps he did abandon the idea.

Posted: 12/29/06 at 5:57pmRight now he's busy in London working on the Sweeney movie. He intends to go back to BOUNCE (or most likely an older version WISEGUYS). Nothing is set, yet.

I was thinking the same thing. But I remember TomMonster telling me of some lawsuites or something like that?

There were lawsuits, but none involving Victor. (I'm not at liberty to talk about the lawsuits).
However, I highly doubt he would go back to WISEGUYS. It would be great, though!

Garber did say in an interview he did when he was cast in the Encores! concert of Of Thee I Sing saying that he'd be happy if he could do an Encores! once a year, he did not seem too anxious to do an extended run 8 times a week.
The only lawsuits that I know were actually reported on the press had to do with Sondheim and Goldman demanding their producer because he was allegedly stopping the show's progress. Not sure where that went.
