So glad to finally hear news of this show. I've been waiting for it for a good while now, so I'm really happy to see that it's coming into fruition.

Love the movie, love the Frames, love the Swell Season. Interesting that this is opening on Bway before the West End though. Wonder if there will be many new songs?

This could be a very interesting experiment as a musical--- the source material is so 'small' and understated. It's not something I'd think would translate readily to the stage. That being said, I'd love it if it turns out to be as brilliant and moving as the film and all the music Glen and Marketa have produced!

Same here Katurian, I've been Glen solo 3 times, the Swell Season 2 times, and The Frames once in concert. Glen is probably my favorite songwriter. I'm sure that he'll write something new for the show, considering the amount of new material he consistently pumps out.

As for the show itself, I am a bit concerned. The movie was really small, yeah, and the smallness made it feel so intimate. I'm hoping that the intimacy doesn't become lost in a huge Broadway theatre. Also, it'll be weird seeing anyone but Glen and Mar playing those parts. Still though, I am going to be as supportive as possible about the project. Anything to get them more exposure is a good thing, and this has the potential to be a great artistic success.

love The Swell Season and looking forward to seeing this...any sense of when theyre going to American Rep in Cambridge with this? There is nothing posted on their web site yet...

ART is becoming quite the hub of activity as of late - premering GATZ and I think I read somewhere on this board that PIPPIN directed by Diane Paulas is going to start there as well...
