I can't wait for this show! Is anyone else going? The score is FANTASTIC!
I hear it's quite the winner. I missed it out in its original airing in LA but I'm definitely going to check it out here. The Last Session is a very entertaining and moving piece so I'm sure this will be excellent.
The show is really fantastic. I posted about it on the other board a few days ago... for those who saw TBV at NYMF two summers ago, it's been cleaned up a bit (some lyric changes, mostly), but the soul of the show is pretty much the same. You can actually preview/download the entire score at thebigvoice.com/score. DEFINTELY worth a trip.

You should! It's fantastic. It's going to be (if not already is) at TKTS. It's right across the street from Forbidden Broadway.
Yep, it's been at TKTS. Or you can use the BVBBX72 discount code.

Had the extreme pleasure of catching this wonderful show out of town and can't wait to see it again.
Steve and Jim: THANK YOU for saying (and singing!) so eloquently what has been in my heart for years. All the best to you both for a long, successful run
Joey
Joey, thank you for that very sweet post. Jim and I are very proud of "The Big Voice," and whatever happens from this point on, whether the critics and NY audiences embrace us, dismiss us or hate us, it is the show we meant to write. It's what we lived through. It's just the truth -- and I know a lot of gay people have lived through what we've lived through.
We open on Thursday. Keep yer fingers crossed for us!

It's a great show -- funny, moving, sweet...... I know I gave a positive review when you were here a few years ago (at the Zipper?) and I'm pretty sure I included you in my "Best of" that year. Glad to see you back. I hope you have a great success.
Margo, you were one of our first supporters here in New York. You gave us a total rave review. And knowing how discriminating you are (is that a nice way to put it? heh), for me, it was like getting a standing ovation in a stadium full of theatre queens. We've done a little lyric rewriting since then. A nip and a tuck here and there -- and they've given us an incredibly beautiful new set by Clifton Taylor. Last night, at our final preview, the Times came (they tell me) so now we're in the hands of the theatre gods. It was probably our best performance, so I'm happy that, whether we are loved, hated or dismissed, we know we did our best.
Opening night is tonight!
