I have been meaning to ask this in a message but keep on forgetting. Does anyone know what Orfeh (most recently seen as Paulette in LB) might be doing next?? I saw that on ibdb.com that she usually takes a long break. Like the last thing posted was a Hair benefit concert in 2004 and LB was 3 years later. so will she try to pick something up or take a break and then show up again in like another 3 years?

I guess you should refrain from considering yourself a fan of hers, boo.

In 2005 she played Pippi in the Off-Broadway musical THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL and in 2006 she played Clara at the Prince Music Theatre (in Philadelphia, PA) in BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY.

On Sunday December 14th she took part of Broadway Sings for Toys, an annual charity concert presented by the Broadway Boys at The Zipper Factory. The evening also featured: Scott Alan, Stephanie J. Block, John Bucchino, Gavin Creel, Lea DeLaria, Capthia Jenkins, Chelsea Krombach, Judy McClane, Michael McElroy, Patina Miller, Geoff Packard, Julie Reiber, Antonique Smith, and Marty Thomas. There was also performances from the casts of Jersey Boys, Altar Boyz, Spring Awakening, Hair, The Little Mermaid, and In The Heights.

And, this past September her What Do You Want From Me CD was released:

I just showed you that she HAS been working between the HAIR Actor's Fund Concert and LEGALLY BLONDE. Just because she's not ON Broadway doesn't mean the bitch ain't doing somethin'. Also, she's appeared on TV between things.

Its NOT all about Broadway, fella. Plus, with the lack of 'new' things being created for Broadway, its unlikely you'll be seeing her on Broadway again. Unless Andy isn't booking something, don't expect to see her joining any surviving show as a replacement.

Orfeh said at LB stage door on closing night that she was going to focus on her album and promoting it. She stays busy even when not on Broadway, just maybe not as visible. She really is a workhorse. But like the couple of intelligent and nice posters said above, (not all of us here at BWW are spell checking, idiot jerks) we might not see many of our favorite stars back on Broadway for awhile since parts are few and far between due to the economy.

Just because an actor isn't on Broadway doesn't mean they aren't doing projects that interest and stimulate them as artists.
