Does anyone know if Patti Lupone ever comes out after matinee shows?
and
Does Sutton Foster leave after the Drowsy Chaperone matinee and come back to the stage door at 6:30 for the evening performance?
Thank you so much. City Saturday!

Patti Lupone never comes out after Wednesday or Saturday matinees.
I don't think you ever really know with Sutton. Sometimes she comes out the stage door, sometimes she doesn't.

I saw Sutton walking down 44th street after the matinee last Wednesday. Of course, she was wearing the "don't recognize me" bandana.

I think all of you people who lurk at the stage doors provide a wonderful service to other lurkers by keeping notes on who comes out what stage door and when

Aww, she looks so cute in that bandana!

I don't think it's for any injury.
Her role is very 'physical' so I assume that's why she gets it.

If performers don't come out the stagedoor after the show, they don't want to sign autographs and talk to the fans at that time. Simple as that. While I don't doubt Sutton (and many others) would be nice if one were to scope out their exit and stop them there, it seems a bit strange to go against their implicit wishes.

Like I said, I doubt they'd actually act like they care out of respect for you, but in all honesty, I think it's a safe assumption that they'd rather wouldn't deal with fans, period, if they're using a different door. Even if it's not 100% true in all cases, I think that's a respectful assumption to make as a fan. The stagedoor is known as the place for fans to meet performers after a show, not another exit. It seems a bit out of line to hunt your favorite performer down at a different place.
