Can anyone please recommend plays based on body image (comedy) which can be adapted for community theater?
It will be of great help.
Thanks.

How do you "adapt" a play for community theatre?
I saw a community theatre do a show called "The Most Massive Woman Wins"...
My first thought was Fat Pig...it's a 4-person cast so it's pretty easy to do, and it's a really interesting play.
The Shape of Things
I agree with an above poster: what do you mean ADAPT? When you license a show, you agree to do it AS WRITTEN.

THE ELEPHANT MAN and RICHARD III aren't comedies, but since you are adapting.....

The Waiting Room by Lisa Loomer. Deals with the ridiculous and dangerous lengths forced/taken upon by women to satisfy men. Explores past and present through cancer causing breast implants, Chinese foot binding, Victorian corsets so tight they damaged internal organs. And yes, it's a comedy...with many moments of high emotion/drama/pain.
