I'm so there! And Rachel has not played Mother before. In London she played Lilli Vanessi/Katharine in KISS ME, KATE.
Rachel York has got to be the busiest person on stage these days. First DESSA ROSE, now RAGTIME, plus SUMMER OF '42 on May 23, BROADWAY BY THE YEAR on June 13, and the Julie Andrews tribute at the Goodspeed on June 11. How does she do it?! I'm tired just thinking about it.

Stripped down/minimalist=almost NO "scenery". A unit set with some glass window panels and one catwalk/bridge. NO Model T Ford. A bunch of chairs.
Also the cast is half the size of Broadway - 28 people.

Posted: 5/20/05 at 5:51pmwhen michael was on tour as tateh in boston he came and saw the show i was in and talked to me and everything... then when i went to see it on broadway he had moved up to the broadway cast so i got to see him play tateh there. and you know who was his sarah (not that tateh and sarah interact!)... lachanze. how i love them both! marvin and ti moune in one show together!
