On MTI, each show has a different rating. Does anyone know who rates them and how the ratings compare to movie ratings? Do you think people should be notified before buying tickets what possible profanities are in a show? At some shows, the ushers will ask you if you are alright with some of the material in a show. Shouldn'e you be notified before you buy the tickets instead of being notified while you're already in the theatre?

"I mean, sitting side by side with another man watching Patti LuPone play Rose in GYPSY on Broadway is essentially the equivalent of having hardcore sex." -Wanna Be A Foster. "Say 'Goody.' Say 'Bubbi.'" ... "That's it. Exactly as if it were 'Goody.' Now I know you're gonna sing 'Goody' this time, but nevertheless..."

I think the writers would have a say in the ratings. Like how much Language, Sex or Adult themes are in it.
Maybe they should warn people, but then that might stop people from seeing the show, and producers don't want that.

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

The theatre has not and should not be subjegated to "ratings." It's ridiculous that MTI gives their shows "ratings." Who are they and who is anyone to say what is sutible for an audience to see? And to go further into MTI's "ratings" I strongly dissagree with their "rating" for Sweeney Todd. R? I don't find anything objectional about the piece that should give it an R rating. Maybe a PG.
