Yeah, I did a search, but I got too lazy to dig through all those olds posts. LOL ;P
Anyway... my friend and I are coming into the city on the 30th and want to rush Jersey Boys that night. It's a Thursday, so what time should we get there? How much are they? Do we NEED a student ID (I'm not a student) or will just a drivers license be okay? What else should I know about rushing for this show? I've only ever done lotto for Broadway..

They are on sale from 4:30-5:30 only. $26.25 a ticket, 2 per student ID and yes they usually check ID. You are best off showing up an hour before they go on sale since there usually arent that many and people show up early.

really? I've rushed the show twice and not once did they ask for any ID.
I'll see if my friend has a student ID. Hmm.. if we can't do rush, do they have cancellation line? I know they have standing room, too. What about those?
I'm not sure the rush for Jersey Boys is student rush, is it? When I did it, the guy didn't seem at all interested in my ID.
But then again, if you're a student, you might as well bring ID to be on the safe side.
I'm not a student, that's the problem. My friend is, but she doesn't have an ID.
Ohh. The website makes it seem like they're really strict about their student rush policy (two types of ID, will be photocopied, you can't get tickets more than once a month), but I'm wondering if this has been changed or if it's subjective to who's at the box office, because I don't remember the guy photocopying my ID.
ETA: They do have SR. I'm not sure how much luck you'll have in getting it, but it is available.

I've never had them actually ask for a second ID but a few times they did ask to see student ID. They dont always so you can always risk it. Standing room is available if the show is sold out.
Is standing room only available if the show is sold out? What about cancellation line? Haha... we both really want to see this show, so I'm getting as many options as possible.

Chances are the show will be close to sold out...so they most likely will have standing room. They do have a cancellation line but tix are full price at 111 bucks for orch and 86 in the way back of the mezz. The cancellation line on Sunday formed when the box office opened.
Youre going on a weekday...so id stop in at the box office when it opens to see if they think SRO or Student Rush will be available...then go back an hour or so before they go onsale.

Well, our flight gets in around 2, then we have to go drop our stuff off so we probably won't get into that area until 4 or so.

That should be okay, since I don't think the box office opens until 4:30.
