She was the first guest on the hilarious new Graham Norton show on Comedy Central a couple weeks ago and on there she mentioned she was going to be playing a straight English professor on the "L Word" on Showtime. She also has a movie or two coming up. And it seems like she's always popping up with a solo show periodically (I think she was a Joe's Pub a few months ago). Otherwise, I think she's just chilling and raising her kid.

According to IMDB, "Her baby's name is Cicely Yasin, a Moroccan name and its Hebrew name is Rachel. Father is not revealed by Sandra."

I was talking about her with a friend the other day and since than I've been listening to her show on a loop. I had forgotton how hilarious it was. I hope she finds time one day to come back to Broadway.

In the early '90's, I went to a taping of the Letterman Show (before the move) and the guests that night were Bill Maher (pre-fame), Sandra Bernhard, and Minute Bol (the tallest man in the NBA). 'Twas an interesting experience, and both Sandra and Bill (I think Teddy Kennedy was his main target at the time) were hilarious.

Several years ago, I remember thinking that with some intense vocal coaching, she'd make for a very good Fanny Brice in "Funny Girl." She's too old to do it now (close to 50), but back in the 80's it would have been a good fit if she could have handled the vocal demands.
