I will be taking my daughter to NY this christmas to see Wicked. I haven't booked the tickets yet, because I am not sure where to sit. I want to sit some where in the first balcony, but I still want to be able to see the stage. Where would you recomend.

How much are you willing to spend? If you want cheap seats that are in the orchestra, I hear the partial view seats in the orchestra are a good deal. You miss a little bit of the action, but not a lot apparently.

well. I really dont think I can afford anything on the orchestra level. I was thinking a seat in the lower balcany would be fine. I am not sure if I am right though. If I sat first row (or something close to that) mid mezzanine that would be fine. Could some one just tell me where a spot in the mid mezzanine would be were we could have a decent view of things?

I sat in the Rear Mezz's second to last row and it was great. $50.00 each ($51.25 with resoration fee). It's a great view. It's very far, but you can see faces and the entire stage (try to get into the center, like we did, for the best view). I sat here the second time I saw the show and preferred it over the orchestra.

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

I was also wondering if anyone knew of a site where I could get some awesome ticket deals.

The first time I saw WICKED I was sitting in the 7th Row of the Orchestra... Amazing seats... later I learned that my seats that were full price of $100 were the last ones before the "obstructed view" seats started.... Buy cheaper obstructed view seats... You'll be close and "feel" like you're in expensive seats -- haha

The cheaper obstructed view seats are around the same price of what you are willing to spend. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they are $55. And although I've never been in the Gershwin, I've heard that the obstruction isn't bad at all and that it's one of the better deals on tickets. I think the Gershwin is one of the bigger theaters, so obstructed view orchestra seats sound better than spending the same amount on mid mezz seats.

I've seen it twice. First time partial view row G for $55. Second Time dead center row B, front mezz for $100. I really thought the $55 considered partial view was a better seat because the mezzanine in the gerwshwin is soo very far away from the stage.
