Sending autograph request to Patti LuPone

I'm considering sending my Opening Night GYPSY Playbill to her @ WOTV to get signed. However, because of the precios nature of such an object, I'm hesistant to do so.

Has anybody had luck with her in the past via snail mail, or should I actually go to the stage door to have it signed?

(Pardon my constant dilemmas, I just want to assess risk before acting)
