Show Some Love for Barbara Cook!

Who else finds her to be an amazing, warm, giving performer? I can't get enough of her Barbara Cook's Broadway. If you haven't experienced the joy that is Ms. Cook, I highly recommend you pick up one of her recordings. Here "Among My Yesterdays" gives me chills.

I saw her perform at Michael's Pub a number of years ago. It was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. She brought tears to my eyes.

I LOVE BARABRA!! I saw her in a concert for a local theatre funding thing, and I met her. She has to be one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She gave me a hug, and we talked for like 20 min. (okay, it was more like 15.) I love her. Nobody could ever replace her.

GO SEE HER live if you ever get the chance! She is charming and in wonderful voice. I think it's such a treat that she still performs.

I wanna go!!! I was watching a DVD of her masterclass. I would have killed to go. It was mostly adults though, so I would not fit in. Does anyone know how much she charged for it?

I've listened to about 10 different versions of Glitter and be Gay, and not a one can hold a candle to Ms. Cook's.
