Can someone tell me what the original key of "Bring Him Home" in Les Misérables is and how high/low it goes? I was thumping it out and singing at the piano tonight, and I'm almost certain that it is significantly lower than in the show, as the highest note of the whole song (according to the score book I have) if F, which is really nice for me and makes it extremely comfortable. Show key of But I was just curious, so if someone is able to enlighten me, thanks many.

In the show, it originally went up to a Bb...

In the OCR, i'm pretty sure it was in A major, meaning it went up to an A. I've been searching for sheet music in this key for ages, and can't find it. For some reason, every edition of it i can find is in F major. Maybe cause:

"It's too high,
this song's too high.
Pity me!
Change the key!"

generally it's written in f so that it gets performed a lot. however, the show version is in a, not b flat as thes wrote.
