I have two
Passing Strange (which I liked) because it was between Passing Strange and Curtains and sure enough when I traveled home, Curtains announced it's closing while Passing Strange was still open my next trip to the city.
The 39 Steps (I didn't really enjoy but I thought the actors were Amazing) It was between seeing the last performance of the lead actor in The 39 steps (Which I had no clue what it was about) or this little show about theater that had it's first preview the night before. [Title of show] I went with the 39 Steps at (TKTS) and right after checked BWW to the great reviews of the people who went. I shrugged looking forward to The 39 Steps. I didn't enjoy it that much (It might of been that I hadn't seen the movie) So I went home. Got really hyped about [title of show] was about to get tickets for my next trip in January. When they announced it's closing.
I don't want this to be a hate thread or anything just wondering if anything like this happened to you.
Like I don't want any post to be "I regret seeing so and so because I hated it."

Well, I went to the Nederlander and I wanted to see RENT, but someone told me it closed. I thought it was just a awful rumor, but it was true. Jesus came down and he claimed RENT officially closed!

My friend still kicks herself for seeing the closing night of High Fidelity (which she loved, but had already seen) instead of Pirates! at Goodspeed.

Musicalmaster, you posted dumb threads like this when you first joined as well. Somthing tells me you have a routine everytime you join a place.
Such as "I get to see Gypsy AND South Pacific cuz my mommy say so!"
And this nice thread!!

I had bought tickets to the closing of Curtains, but would have not if I had known Sunday was extending!
"I get to see Gypsy AND South Pacific cuz my mommy say so!"
Where did I say that?
And yes sorry for a lot of posters when they first get here they post stupid threads including me but me and now you have learned the rules and instead of posting junk we adapt.
Also I don't mean to be rude, I'm just wondering how long it took to dig up that thread?

It was deleted. I cant find it!
You also posted some bootlegs, as well!
Actually, having seen both 'title of show' and '39 Steps' I'd say you definitely came out ahead on that one.
"It was deleted. I cant find it!"
Sure it was...
"You also posted some bootlegs, as well!"
and No I didn't.
Can we please just move on, why are you so obsessed?

Would you call RENT NYTW a bootleg?
I'm kinda halfway between the point of this thread, and the anti-point. I had a spare afternoon once in London, so I went to TKTS and decided I'd either see 'The Lover/The Collection', or 'Absurd Person Singular'. After much deliberation, I went for the latter, and it was terrible, so I wished wished wished I'd seen 'The Lover/The Collection' instead, and it became almost something of an obsession until I finally saw it a few weeks later.
The fight is more entertaining than the thread.
